But Ridge Racer V all but ignores most of the gameplay refinements that the series has seen over the years, returning to the general driving style of games like Ridge Racer and Ridge Racer Revolution.

Graphically, Ridge Racer V is the most impressive of the PlayStation2 launch games. The game looks like the other Ridge Racer games, but without all the pop-up and pixelated vehicles and environments. Little things like trees on the sides of the track, and the glow that emanates from your red-hot brake pads as you brake while driving around corners really bring a lot to the look of the game. You can even see the gauges inside your car light up when your headlights come on in a tunnel or while night-driving. The cars are well designed, and the environment mapping that creates the almost-too-shiny reflection on your car is pretty amazing. The display isn't flawless, though. The entire game has a very aliased appearance, making the edges of the cars and tracks look really jagged. The better your TV is, the more noticeable the aliasing becomes. Also, there are some seemingly random moments of slowdown, but it's rare and only occurs for less than a second. The game still sports only two camera angles, a first-person and third-person view. The third-person view is much tighter and closer to your vehicle than in the previous games, and it takes a bit of getting used to. Read More>>

Easy to Play, Hard to Master

The Perplexus Original Maze Game is a clear sphere filled with multicolored pathways covering different areas of the sphere's interior. A small metal ball rolls around on the inside, and it's your job to guide that ball through the maze to its end. Once the ball is balanced in its starting position, it's easy to start rolling it around the tracks. By the time you've learned the different passageways, you'll realize that even though it's easy to play, all the different ways of moving around are hard to master!

Flip, Twist, and Spin Your Way through the Maze

Moving through the different pathways is a wacky exercise in spatial reasoning and stimulates your cognitive reasoning. As you move the ball along one track, you find that it's never long before you reach a different colored track that requires you to flip, twist, and spin the sphere 90 degrees one way or another to keep the ball rolling. Twist around corners, flip from the yellow to the orange ramp, spin around the various curves--if you fall off the track, just get back on and try again!

Race Yourself, Your Friends, and the Clock

If you work hard enough and make it to the end of the maze, congratulate yourself, and then turn it into a racetrack! Keep track of your personal best times and race against the clock. You can also race against your friends' times, or stage races with multiple Perplexus Mazes!

PLEASE READ Before going to the mission (False Idols) make sure that you have a motorbike in your safehouse garage. This is the only video on and the only method on youtube to get the helicopter on PSP without cheats or downloading gamesaves at the moment so all I can say is keep on trying if you get stuck or are having difficulties. Its a bummer that it is harder to get this helicopter on the PSP version because it is so easy to steal on the PS2 version. On PSP the helicopter is locked. For those of you who have not played gta lcs. The helicopters were removed from the game for some unknown reason so the only way that you can have a helicopter to keep is by doing this. I would not waste time if I didn't have to. This method won't work on the PS2. Carry on on another gamesave if its necessary and keep the false idols gamesave safe so it leaves the option of trying again. The tank is of course the best vehicle to use for pushing, but I recommended the firetruck because the vast majority of people probably won't have a tank at this stage so I proved that it can be done with a firetruck to make this vid worth watching. If anyone asks for a vid on how to get a tank this early in the game. I know a glitch that makes it so easy to steal one. I have made a video of it so check it out if you want a tank. You cannot get the police helicopter because it disappears as soon as you blow it up just to let you know. I did not on purpose make this method any harder than it is. There is ...

Hear me bitch!: 1. Even though the Team Deathmatches were supposed to be 2v2v2v2v2, they allowed 2 clans to have teams of 4, so naturally they dominated and it was complete horseshit. 2. The Rockstar developers who were hosting used xbox controllers to play and left auto-aim on in the Deathmatches. For those who don't know, you use mouse/keyboard for PC GTA IV. Controllers and auto-aim are for nubs and retards! 3. Rockstar apparently thinks that the entire general public has 00 Alienware PC's, because even though countless people protested, they insisted on using weather effects, high pedestrians, high traffic.... so tons of people lagged out or had shitty FPS.
